My Journey into Photography

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began with my grandfather — patient, meticulous, and endlessly curious. He taught me the art of observation — how to see beyond the obvious, to recognize the special moments unfolding quietly, and to capture them in a way that tells their story. The quiet rhythm of his old camera and the spark in his eyes planted a seed that would stay with me forever.

My first camera

In 2009, I bought my first camera and began photographing friends, family, and local events. Those early years shaped my technical foundation and my ability to connect with people through the lens. Weddings, portraits, and milestones became more than assignments — they were moments of trust. I learned that photography isn’t just about capturing what’s in front of you, but revealing what it feels like to be there.

By 2017, my creative focus began to evolve. I found myself drawn to the unscripted — to the beauty in the everyday. Street photography became my classroom, and the world outside my door became my studio. I started to chase authenticity, light, and the subtle poetry of ordinary moments. Over time, that exploration led me to where I am today: creating black and white fine art photography that celebrates form, texture, and emotion stripped down to their purest essence.

Black and white photography allows me to communicate without distraction — to let light, shadow, and composition speak for themselves. Whether I’m capturing stillness in an urban street or depth in a commissioned portrait, my work is about finding truth in simplicity.

Through Evrydy Crftng, my ongoing project and journal, I share more than just images. It’s a space to reflect on process, craft, and the quiet discipline of seeing the world differently — to remind myself and others that creativity is a daily practice, not a destination.

My grandfather’s lessons still echo every time I pick up a camera: be patient, pay attention, and honor the story in front of you. That spirit continues to guide everything I create — from the fine art prints I make to the commissioned work I take on.

My work is a constant search for truth in light and shadow — a reflection of how I see the world and the stories it quietly tells. Through each image, I aim to create work that not only captures a moment but invites others to pause, reflect, and see the world with renewed curiosity.
